8:15 PM CDT Oklahoma Weather Update (9/5/2012)

A large area of showers and thunderstorms across western Oklahoma back into the Texas Panhandle will continue to move east across western Oklahoma toward central sections of the state this evening. The strongest storms will be capable of producing gusty winds, small hail, heavy rain and frequent lightning.

Through 9 PM, most of the activity will remain west of a line from Waynoka, south to Fairview, Clinton, Hobart and Altus Oklahoma. A few isolated storms will also be possible across western North Texas from near Quanah and south of Crowell.
