Noon CDT Oklahoma Weather Update (7/8/2012)


Around noon, radar indicated scattered showers and a few thunderstorms across northern Oklahoma, extending from Waynoka to Fairview to Kingfisher to Perry and Ponca City. The precipitation was moving south around 20 mph. Some of the showers may reach Chandler, Oklahoma City and El Reno by 1 or 2 PM. Additional showers and thunderstorms may form across northern Oklahoma this afternoon as a cold front pushes slowly south across northwest and west central Oklahoma. Skies across the southern half of Oklahoma will remain sunny to partly cloudy this afternoon with isolated showers and storms possible across southeast Oklahoma.
