Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will continue to affect portions of of Oklahoma and western North Texas this afternoon. The most widespread activity will affect the central third of Oklahoma early this afternoon with more scattered showers and storms across parts of western Oklahoma and western North Texas. Locally heavy rain will be the main concern early this afternoon, especially with the thunderstorms. Rainfall rates of one inch to an inch and a quarter per hour will be possible in some locations. This heavy rain could also greatly reduce visibilities. A few of the storms may become strong producing small hail and gusty winds. The rain is due to an upper low which will remain over parts of Oklahoma and Texas through tonight. Showers and thunderstorms will continue throughout the day affecting much of Oklahoma and western North Texas.
