Showers and a few thunderstorms have initiated along a dryline over the East Texas Panhandle. This activity will move slowly northeastward over the next few hours, reaching far western Oklahoma by 6 to 7 PM. While most of the activity should remain below severe levels, one or two of the storms may become severe with a threat of large hail and damaging winds. Thunderstorm will spread into the remainder of western Oklahoma through 8 PM. Elsewhere, cloud cover remains across much of central and southern Oklahoma. Thunderstorm chances will increase late this evening as activity across western Oklahoma spreads eastward.
