An area of light to moderate rain will continue across much of southern Oklahoma into portions of North Texas this morning. A few embedded thunderstorms, producing some cloud to ground lightning and gusty winds, will continue to be possible across far southeast Oklahoma. Rainfall amounts will average between a tenth and a quarter of an inch per hour, with the heaviest amounts from near Pauls Valley and Sulphur east to Ada, Coalgate and Holdenville through noon. All this activity is associated with a large upper level storm located over north central Texas this morning. As this storm system moves east later today, the rain will gradually end from west to east with clearing skies.
