730 PM CT Oklahoma Weather Update (12/19/2011)


Showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue to move northeast across portions of Oklahoma this evening. The heaviest precipitation will be east of a line from Medford to Guthrie to Ardmore. This area of showers and thunderstorms will continue move to the east with diminishing rain intensity across central Oklahoma through the evening. Another area of showers and thunderstorms will move north and northeast across west central and northwest Oklahoma this evening. Although the precipitation will be rain in most areas, cold air will begin moving into far northwest Oklahoma allowing the precipitation to mix with or change to snow and sleet this evening, mainly north and west of Woodward through the mid evening hours. Between these areas of precipitation, scattered light rain will occur across other portions of western Oklahoma and western North Texas
