945 AM CT Oklahoma Weather Update (12/3/2011)

A large area of rain and thunderstorms covering a large part of central and western Oklahoma and western North Texas this morning, producing light to occasionally moderate rain. All the activity will move toward the east and northeast at 40 to 50 mph.

At 930 am, the leading edge of a widespread area of rain extends from near Stillwater and Chandler southwest to Pauls Valley, Ardmore and Henrietta Texas. Rainfall rates will average around a quarter of an inch per hour. Another area of light rain will continue to move out of southeast Oklahoma from near Coalgate and Atoka south to Durant.
