Two large areas of rain are moving northeast into Oklahoma and North Texas. At 630 am… the leading edge of a widespread area of rain extends from Woodward to Elk City to Hollis Oklahoma to just west of Abilene Texas… and this area of rain covers much of the eastern Oklahoma and Texas panhandles and into West Texas between Abilene and Lubbock. This area of rain will spread into western Oklahoma and western North Texas through the early morning hours. Some locations will receive rainfall rates of around one-quarter of an inch per hour although most locations will receive less. Another area of rain had developed over north central Texas and south central Oklahoma with the leading edge extending from Duncan to Sulphur to Atoka. This area of rain will also move northeast and spread across portions of south central and southeast Oklahoma into eastern Oklahoma.
