515 PM CT Oklahoma Weather Update (12/3/2011)

An area of light to moderate rain will continue to move east and northeast across southeast Oklahoma through early this evening. Most of the rain will remain east of a line from Holdenville to Ada, to Ardmore and Marietta Oklahoma. The rain is expected to move out of the area this evening.

Meanwhile, a strong cold front located from central Kansas southwest into northwest Oklahoma near Cherokee and Seiling, to near Cheyenne into West Texas at 450 PM, will move south and southeast across Oklahoma this evening. As the front moves through,  temperatures will quickly drop from the upper 40s and lower 50s back into the 30s with a strong north to northwest wind. Wind chills behind the front were in the 20s at 450 PM.
