Cumulus clouds were increasing along a slow moving dryline. The dryline extended from near Medford to Lawton…to Wichita Falls. Thunderstorms will likely develop along the dryline between 415 PM and 5 PM…with initial development most likely from around Anadarko and Lawton…southward through Wichita Falls and Archer City. Conditions remain favorable for the development of severe storms this evening with very large hail and damaging winds the main threats. Storms will likely become more widespread along the boundary through the early evening spreading through central and northern Oklahoma. Meanwhile…winds will remain strong and gusty. Wind gusts to around 40 mph will be likely in parts of western Oklahoma behind the dryline. Strong northwest winds were also occurring behind a cold front now moving into parts of northwest Oklahoma.
