645 PM Oklahoma Weather Update (5/21/2011)

At 615 PM…satellite and radar showed and isolated storm beginning to develop near a dryline in parts of south central Oklahoma near a dryline that extends across the area. The dryline was located from near Ponca City and Perry… to near Norman and Pauls Valley… to near Ringling Oklahoma. Additional isolated storms may also develop over the next one to two hours. The airmass east of the dryline is unstable so some of them may become severe producing large hail… gusty winds… and heavy rain. The chance for thunderstorms will decrease after sunset. Elsewhere… hot and dry conditions are in place west of the dryline with temperatures in the upper 80s and 90s.
