Oklahoma Severe Weather Update as of 8 pm CT (5/19/2011)

Strong to severe thunderstorms will continue to develop and move across parts of southwestern and central Oklahoma… and western North Texas through 10 PM. These storms will continue to move to the east and northeast at 25 to 30 mph. Large hail and strong wind gusts will be possible with the severe storms. Tornadoes will also be possible. These storms will also produce heavy rain that will lead to flooding of streets and low-lying poorly drained areas. Rainfall amounts of one to three inches in a short period of time will be possible. Showers and thunderstorms will remain possible overnight. Some of which may become severe.
