530 PM CT Oklahoma Severe Weather Update (5/11/2011)

Through 7 PM… showers and isolated storms continue across central and southeast Oklahoma. The heaviest thunderstorms…located along the leading edge of this convective line have pushed mainly into eastern Oklahoma with moderate to light shower activity extending across much of northern…central…and southern Oklahoma. The threat of severe weather has mainly diminished…though some gusty winds may be associated with heavier showers across north central and southeast Oklahoma. In addition…heavy rainfall from todays thunderstorms has lead to conditions favorable for localized flooding…particularly across portions of central Oklahoma. Persons should exercise caution while driving on flood prone roads…and low lying areas. Showers will slowly push eastward…coming to an end later this evening.
