Oklahoma City Extended Weather Forecast: May 10-17, 2011


Still watching a moderate risk of severe weather for the Sooner State for tomorrow. Some indications that some areas of Oklahoma could get upgraded to a high risk by the Storm Prediction Center are out there. I will psot future blog entries should that happen.

Tonight’s severe weather will be marginal. Some storms will approach severe limits but the activity will not be as organized as tomorrow though.

Now your 7-day extended forecast.

Tonight: Increasing clouds. Chance of thunderstorms. Lows in the upper 60s. South winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of thunderstorms 40 percent.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy. Slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning…then chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 80s. South winds 15 to 25 mph. Chance of thunderstorms 30 percent.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy with chance of thunderstorms. Cooler. Some thunderstorms may be severe in the evening. Lows in the upper 50s. South winds 15 to 25 mph decreasing to 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Chance of thunderstorms 30 percent.

Thursday: Partly cloudy. Highs in the lower 80s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 50s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

Friday: Partly cloudy. Cooler. Highs around 70.

Friday Night: Clear. Lows in the mid 40s.

Saturday and Saturday Night: Partly cloudy. Highs in the mid 70s. Lows in the upper 40s.

Sunday: Partly cloudy with slight chance of thunderstorms. Highs in the mid 70s. Chance of thunderstorms 20 percent.

Sunday Night through Monday Night: Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 50s. Highs in the upper 70s.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy. Highs in the lower 70s.
