700 PM CT Oklahoma Weather Update (5/10/2011)

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across portions of central and southern Oklahoma will move to the north around 35 mph. Generally light rain can be expected…with brief locally heavier rainfall in the thunderstorms. The precipitation was developing in advance of an upper level storm system moving north through Texas this evening. Through 8 PM…the rain will likely remain east of a Cherokee… to El Reno… to Duncan line. The likelihood for organized severe weather remains small… but an isolated storm could produce small hail and gusty winds.
