At 520 PM…scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms were beginning to form along a dryline…extending from near Chickasha southwest to Abilene Texas. Instability east of the dryline will be sufficient to support strong to severe storms…but a strong cap will limit the eastward extent. Any storm that forms in southwest Oklahoma and western North Texas will have the capability of quickly becoming severe…with large hail as the primary threat. Strong winds will also be possible with these storms. The storms are expected to diminish late this evening. The storms will move toward the northeast at about 30 mph.
