Long Track Supercell Hits Neshoba & Noxubee Counties, Mississippi & Pickens, Fayette, Walker & Tuscaloosa Counties, Alabama


A large violent tornado has been confirmed for northeastern Neshoba County near the town of Burnside. A debris ball is very visible on radar. Here is a radar image of that storm.

There is no doubt this storm is causing damage at this time. Look for updates on this storm as it tracks northeast. There is a tornado emergency in effect for northeastern Neshoba County, Mississippi as of 2:30 pm CT and for northern Kemper, Noxubee & southeastern Winston County as of 2:42 pm CT.

4/27/2011 3:50 PM: Reform, AL reports a large, violent on the ground near town. This tornado has been on the ground for more than an hour and a half! Power lines and trees along Highway 86 between Pickensville & Reform. A tornado emergency has been issued. Here is a radar of that storm showing a tornado on radar. You can tell on the radar by the hole in the middle there, it’s a large tornado!
