Tornado Warning for St. Louis, Missouri (4/19/2011)

A tornado warning has been issued for the St. Louis metro area. People at Busch Stadium need to find shelter and were seeking shelter at the time of this post. This looks like a wicked storm.

At 7:40 pm CT, a wall cloud was over downtown St. Louis, not far from Busch Stadium (per the Weather Channel). Evacuations at the stadium was taken place as well.

At 7:45 pm CT, a 99-knot wind aloft was reported over downtown St. Louis

7:52 pm CT: Tornado sirens are blaring over St. Louis proper. Here is a radar image from that time as well.

7:53 pm CT: Trained weather spotters reported a tornado on the ground near Mehlville, in southern St. Louis metro. Also, pea-size hail reported at the Cardinals game in downtown St. Louis. Funnel clouds reported near Imperial, Mo. moving towards Arnold. This is just south of St. Louis.

8:13 pm CT: Tornado warning for St. Louis cancelled due to the storm moving out of the area.
