A strong cold front will come through Oklahoma City somewhere between 9 and 11 am this morning. Current temp is 75 and might raise a couple of degrees before the front arrives. Once the cold front comes through, the temps will cool off a few degrees and with that comes a wind shift line that turns the winds around to the northwest. This also will end any rain chances for Oklahoma City, but by Thursday and through the weekend, rain chances are starting to be locked in with some severe weather chances as well.
And now, the nowcast from the Norman NWS office.
A strong cold front will move southeastward through much of northwestern Oklahoma by mid morning. The front will reach the Hollis… Hobart… Hinton… Okarche… and Perry areas by around 8 am. Winds will shift quickly to the northwest at 15 to 25 mph behind the front… and temperatures will fall quickly into the 60s and 50s. The front will reach the Lawton… Oklahoma City… and Stillwater areas by 10 am.
