Around 300 PM…surface observations indicated a dryline extending from near Ponca City to Stillwater to Waurika. The dryline was pushing slowly to the east. Heating and an increase in Gulf moisture has resulted in moderate instability east of the dryline. Around 310 PM thunderstorms began to develop across north central and south central Oklahoma. These storms will continue to move towards the east northeast. Isolated to widely scattered storms will continue to form along and east of the dryline. With strong shear and sufficient instability in place…most storms will become severe quickly and produce very large hail…strong damaging winds and tornadoes. Now is the time to prepare for threatening weather and be prepared to move to a place of safety if warnings are issued.
