THIS SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY IS FOR CADDO…CANADIAN…
CLEVELAND…COMANCHE…GRADY…HARDEMAN…JACKSON…KIOWA…
LINCOLN…MCCLAIN…OKLAHOMA…PAYNE…POTTAWATOMIE…TILLMAN AND
WILBARGER COUNTIES.

AT 1140 PM CDT…A COLD FRONT WAS LOCATED FROM NEAR ELDORADO AND
ALTUS…UP TO GRACEMONT AND WESTERN OKLAHOMA CITY…TO EDMOND AND
PERKINS…MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH. BY MIDNIGHT…THIS FRONT WILL
EXTEND FROM NEAR QUANAH…TO THE WICHITA MOUNTAINS…TO MOORE AND
MIDWEST CITY…TO WELLSTON AND CUSHING.

AS THE FRONT APPROACHES…THE WIND WILL SHIFT FROM SOUTHERLY TO
WESTERLY FOR ABOUT 10 TO 15 MINUTES BEFORE BECOMING VERY STRONG OUT
OF THE NORTH. ALTHOUGH MOST AREAS WILL SEE NORTHERLY WINDS OF 25 TO
35 MPH WITH GUSTS OVER 40 MPH…THE STRONGEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED
OVER SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA AND WESTERN NORTH TEXAS WHERE WINDS WILL
LIKELY GUST BETWEEN 50 AND 60 MPH.

THIS WIND SHIFT WILL AFFECT FIRE FIGHTING EFFORTS. PLEASE ADVISE FIRE
CREWS IN THE FIELD OF THE CHANGE IN WIND DIRECTION.
